The room was huge and airy, it included pay TV, ironing facilities, and a coffee table. The location was unbeatable and magnificent, about 15-minute walk into town.

Tbh, had a very enjoyable short stay for a wedding. Spacious hotel with a great pool and a perfect location in a perfect setting. Location: the venue was just off the supermarket and the local butcher, a the lovely and well kept big garden, and shops. Also, I appreciated to be within 2 km of Lac du Saut du Loup👍👌😃

Starting the day right with the most delicious croissants for breakfast. the room is spacious and has all you need including a private bathroom with a shower, hairdryer, and fresh towels ready. 🥐

The room at The Retreat @ Le Grand Bois was so spacious and comfortable, perfect for up to four people. I loved the seating area and coffee table, it made me feel right at home. The bedroom had a stunning view of the rear gardens and the large pool. The bathroom was fantastic with its double washbasins and large bathtub with a shower over.

Personally, I didn't enjoy the presence of a DVD player in the room.

I always come back to this place because they helped me find my way. It has everything I need, like Wi-Fi, free parking, outdoor dining, and a pool. Plus, I love the activities like hiking, cycling, and fishing. It's perfect for my holiday. No regrets!

I absolutely adored the charming and cozy atmosphere at the hotel. The decorations around the hotel, including the guest rooms and common areas, were full of character and added a lovely touch to the overall experience. It felt like stepping into a beautiful old cottage, which was perfect for someone like me who appreciates a warm and welcoming ambiance. Additionally, I was impressed with the accessibility of the hotel for senior people like myself. The paths were well-maintained and easy to navigate, and the staff were always available to assist if needed.

If I had to suggest one improvement for a better vacation experience for senior people, it would be to have grab bars installed in the bathrooms. As a senior with mobility issues, a secure and stable support system would make things much easier and safer for me.

retreat @ le grand bois bed & breakfast is a fantastic place to stay. the hosts - nigel and tina - are welcoming and treat you like family. the rooms are very clean and comfortable. the location is great - just 30 minutes from bergerac airport. and the best part is the delicious breakfast with amazing croissants. overall - highly recommended!

The property is beautiful, with a spacious and comfortable room, a stunning garden, and a lovely swimming pool. The breakfast was delicious, with the best croissants we've ever had. We highly recommend staying here, as it's only a short drive from Bergerac Airport and the nearby restaurant they recommended was excellent and great value.
